CEMI Welcomes New Female Board Members to Strengthen Strategic Leadership in Mining Innovation

Sudbury, Ontario – November 13, 2024 – The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) proudly announces the addition of three accomplished women to its Board of Directors. Mary-Carmen Vera, Senior Account Executive of Geochemistry at SGS Natural Resources; Marilyn Spink, Independent Director of Star Diamond Corporation; and Lori Martin, Vice President of Global Commercial at Veracio, bring a wealth of expertise and diverse perspectives to CEMI's leadership team. These new board members attended their first meeting in Toronto on November 7th, 2024, where they contributed to strategic discussions on advancing mining innovation.

CEMI is committed to fostering diversity and empowering female leaders in the mining industry. The appointment of these three women to the board signifies CEMI’s ongoing dedication to inclusivity and highlights its mission to drive sustainable and cutting-edge solutions within the mining sector.
