Webinar Overview Canada’s mining innovation ecosystem is at a critical inflection point. The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) is advancing MICA-2, a proposed five-year, $148M national initiative under ISED’s Strategic Response Fund designed to accelerate commercialization, strengthen regional innovation networks, and scale Canadian mining technologies globally. Join us for a comprehensive overview of: • What MICA-2 is • Why it matters now • How it complements (not duplicates) federal mandates • The commercialization gaps it addresses • The role of ecosystem partners across Canada • How your organization can formally endorse and support MICA-2 This session is designed for innovation centres, mining companies and OEMs, post-secondary institutions, regional development organizations, industry associations, government partners, technology SMEs, and strategic collaborators. We are inviting ecosystem partners to submit Letters of Support to demonstrate national alignment and demand for MICA-2. https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/57e61c62-2dd4-4761-9fc8-a116cdc44587@f097258d-e15d-47a1-8598-c07390ea236c

As a new partner of CEMI, the Centre for Industrial Residue Technology (CTRI) invites you to discover its approach as an applied research centre with 25 years of expertise serving the mining sector. Rather than presenting a list of services, we offer an immersive experience through our facilities, inspired by real-world mining situations. You will see how a complex challenge, whether technical, operational, or environmental can be analyzed, structured, and tested, then translated into a measurable, implementable solution. From characterization and proof of concept to technology validation and scale-up, this session highlights how CTRI helps reduce technological risk, support sound technical decision-making, and accelerate the deployment of sustainable and high-performance solutions at every stage of the mining lifecycle. Webinar Objectives To introduce CTRI as an innovation partner throughout the entire mining lifecycle, particularly in: Process optimization and material valorization. Technology risk reduction, leveraging 25 years of applied research expertise in proof-of-concept development, technology validation, scale-up, and pre-commercial demonstration. Transforming complex challenges into concrete, implementable solutions that strengthen technical decision-making and accelerate deployment in real operating environments. https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/cb9ad4f5-476e-4eb5-9b91-00732d397e31@f097258d-e15d-47a1-8598-c07390ea236c
