Chris Kearney
Executive Director of Client Services Delivery & Operation, InnoTech Alberta
Chris Kearney oversees research and development work for both private and public sector clients and fosters relationships with various stakeholders including government, industry associations, and technology consortia. This work drives innovation and supports emerging fields in Oil and Gas, Mining, Environment, Agriculture, and Advanced Materials and leverages both public and private funding sources. Chris has significant experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to working with InnoTech & Alberta Innovates, Chris spent much of his career in the technology space, working for the Government of Alberta as a Chief Information Officer and in various roles for TELUS and KPMG. Chris has focused on enabling organizations to improve and change through innovation and forward-thinking ideas which create business and product sustainability. He has significant expertise in corporate strategy, business planning, and operational experience and has successfully led organizations through different organizational changes. Chris has an Economics degree (BA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA). Chris lives in Edmonton and is active in playing and coaching various sports and enjoys spending time with his family.
